What Fuzionary Is

Fuzionary is a free, browser-based AI game where users combine any two or three concepts to discover creative results. No account is required to use the service.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:

  • Concept inputs: The words and phrases you type are sent to our AI service to generate fusion results. Successful combinations are cached in our database to improve performance for all users.
  • IP address: Used solely for rate limiting (max 30 fusions per 24 hours) to prevent abuse. Not stored long-term.
  • Session history: Stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Never transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Information

  • To generate AI fusion results and thumbnail images
  • To cache results globally so returning users see instant results
  • To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
  • To monitor service health and fix errors

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to power Fuzionary:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI): Processes concept inputs to generate creative fusion results. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
  • Together AI: Generates thumbnail images for concepts. Subject to Together AI's privacy policy.
  • Supabase: Stores cached fusion results and images. Data is stored in EU/US data centers. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdSense: We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details.

Cookies & Tracking

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Here is how they are used on Fuzionary:

  • First-party cookies: Fuzionary sets one cookie to remember your language preference. Your session history is stored in your browser's localStorage — a separate mechanism that does not transmit data to any server.
  • Google AdSense cookies: We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies (such as IDE, DSID, and __gads) to measure ad performance and serve relevant advertisements. These are third-party cookies set by Google.
  • Analytics cookies: We do not currently use any analytics tracking.

Managing cookies: You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention

Cached fusion results and concept images are stored indefinitely to serve future users instantly. This data contains only the text inputs users typed — no personal information. Rate-limiting records (IP address hashes) are stored for 24 hours then automatically deleted.

Children's Privacy

Fuzionary is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

Since we collect no personal data (beyond temporary IP-based rate limiting), there is little to request. However, if you have questions or requests about any data we may hold related to you, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Fuzionary after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
